I shape how organizations communicate
With 12 years in marketing leadership and a decade of editorial work, I bring strategic thinking and precise storytelling to every project — from brand campaigns to corporate content.
What I Do
-
Writing and Editing
I create compelling, research-driven content that unpacks complex health and lifestyle topics in a way that’s both informative and accessible. I’ve contributed expert interviews, training guides, news stories, and product reviews to publications including Runner’s World, Outside, Bicycling, Backpacker, Health, Men’s Journal, SHAPE, and Women’s Health
-
Marketing and Copywriting
I partner with businesses and organizations to develop game-changing campaigns, communication strategies, and online identities. I’ve worked with marketing and sales teams at the conceptual stage of projects, offering guidance and feedback. And, I’ve played a more focused role, editing product descriptions, drafting web copy, and writing SEO-based articles for corporate blogs.
-
Ghostwriting
When a business leader, health professional, or fitness influencer is too busy doing their innovative work to write about it, they come to me. Through a collaborative process, I tell their story. I may be the one putting paper to pen, but it’s their voice and personality that resonates with their audience.
About Me
My career sits at the intersection of marketing strategy and editorial craft — and that combination is intentional.
I spent 12 years in marketing leadership before transitioning to full-time writing and editing in 2014. What looked like a pivot was really a clarification: throughout every marketing role I'd held, I consistently gravitated toward the work that involved language — the creative briefs, the scripts, the narratives that gave campaigns their spine. I wanted to do that work full-time, so I did.
I built my editorial career methodically, developing a niche in health and fitness that led to bylines in Runner's World, Outside, SHAPE, Men's Journal, Bicycling, and more. I pursued certifications in personal training and nutrition coaching not as credentials for their own sake, but because depth of knowledge makes for better, more authoritative journalism.
Throughout that editorial work, I've continued to draw on my marketing background in ways that set me apart. I think about audience, message, and strategy — not just sentences. I've partnered with brands and organizations on communication strategies, content frameworks, and high-stakes campaigns where the writing had to do real business work.
That dual fluency — in editorial rigor and marketing strategy — is what I bring to every project.
